Omaha Plans Ahead


ABSTRACT ONLY:

With the recent completion of its third water treatment plant, Omaha’s Metropolitan Utilities District expects to be able to meet local water demands for the next several decades. First conceived 35 years ago, the $352-million Platte West Water Treatment Plant and its associated well field boost the city’s capacity by 100 mgd (378.5 ML/d).
