ABSTRACT ONLY:
Over the course of the past century, Alaska’s Million Dollar Bridge was constructed during arctic conditions, first carried trainloads of copper ore, then cars and trucks, and then collapsed during a massive earthquake. Designated a historic landmark, the structure is now in the midst of a structural rehabilitation and seismic retrofit.
