ASCE Journal Services supports three different pathways for accepting and reviewing new manuscripts. The submission guidelines for each individual journal present the current submission options for that journal.
By Mail
Authors submit the five (5) double-spaced copies of their articles, a CD or diskette with the corresponding electronic file, and a Sizing Worksheet, by mail to ASCE Journal Services, 1801 Alexander Bell Drive, Reston, VA 20191-4400, USA.
ASCE journals staff generate two review forms for the reviewers and a summary review form for the editor. Journals staff forward the forms and manuscripts to the journal editor, who manages the review process by mail.
By E-mail
Authors submit a PDF file of their article as an e-mail attachment to ASCE Journal Services.
- For journals that manage the review process through an e-room, journals staff will upload the PDF file to the e-room, and the journal editor will manage the review from there.
- For journals that do not use e-rooms, journals staff will forward the PDF file to the journal editor.
By Editorial Manager (EM)
ASCE Journals is currently implementing an online submission and review system that will eventually be configured for all ASCE journals. The submission guidelines for a journal that accepts online submissions will contain a link to the Editorial Manager login page for that journal. Journal editors will manage the review process and reviewers will complete their reviews within the EM system.
