Practice Periodical on Structural Design
and Construction

Submission Guidelines

ASCE encourages the submission of scholarly and practice-oriented articles to its journals. Before you submit an article, please review the scope statements for ASCE's journals on the journals home pages, to ensure that you are submitting your work to the journal that is best suited for it. Then, consult our resources for authors, especially the sections about types of journal content and length of journal submissions. Additional information for submitting to this journal appears below.

Practice Periodical on Structural Design and Construction welcomes articles of any length about projects of any size and complexity. Only one positive review is required for publication, and only one negative review is required for rejection. The review period is very brief. Articles must relate to real-life implementation of solutions rather than research. Research-oriented papers received for review will be forwarded to the appropriate associate editor for evaluation. Articles must be technically sound, but the primary criterion is whether they will be of interest and value to a significant number of practicing engineers, construction managers, and contractors.
