Book Authors

Each year, ASCE publishes more than 50 books and CD-ROMs on topics covering the full spectrum of civil engineering disciplines, including structural, water, environmental, geotechnical, and construction, among others. ASCE books have a global reputation as a trusted source of civil engineering knowledge.

Our conference proceedings draw from ASCE's specialty conferences to deliver books and CD-ROMs containing up-to-the-minute presentations of the newest techniques and procedures. ASCE Press titles offer comprehensive treatment of engineering topics and practical handbooks for civil engineers in the field. The ASCE Press list also includes nontechnical works important to engineers, with books on engineering history and heritage, career development, management, leadership, and other "soft" skills important to the successful 21st-century engineer.

Individual authors participate in ASCE's books program by submitting papers to ASCE conferences, which generate proceedings books and CD-ROMs, or by submitting a proposal to ASCE Press for a full-length book.

ASCE members who wish to participate in the crafting of committee reports, manuals of practice, standards, and other specialty series books should do so through the technical committee structure of ASCE's Institutes and Technical Activities Committees.

Information for Editors of conference proceedings, committee reports, manuals of practice, standards, and TCLEE monographs is available elsewhere on this Web site.
